This course, which is taught in two 60 hours semesters, is a bridge between TCM basic theory, diagnostic skills and TCM clinical practice. It offers an in-depth study of over 20 different TCM illnesses which are related to respiration, blood and circulation, digestion in western medicine. Etiology and pathogenesis, differentiation of syndromes, treatment principles, herbal formulas, the explanation and modifications of the formulas will be discussed in detail. This course will give students a structure of diagnosis and the general principles of treatment of each individual illness.
