Western Nutrition
 | The focus of this course is to lay foundational knowledge of Western nutrition. Fundamental concepts will be reviewed from the perspective of how the body and mind are nourished and nurtured. Basic areas considered are nutrients, activities, state of body and mind, spiritual and environmental factors. This is not a typical Western nutrition course in that it does not come from a dietetics perspective, but from a wholistic perspective in which there is no consideration of separation between the mind and body. The physical and mental aspects of nutrition and wellbeing will be explored, and how they interrelate with one another. The BodyMind Nutrition System is one which helps the student sift through the various existing nutrition paradigms, allowing them to 'connect the dots' of truth in each, explaining why many mainstream concepts fall away once calibrated within the BodyMind Nutrition System. |
