This course introduces students to TCM differentiation methods, emphasis is on the most commonly used differentiation patterns such as eight principle differentiation, etiology differentiation, Qi, Xue, Jing Ye differentiation, Zang Fu differentiation, Wei Qi Ying Xue, Six meridian, and San Jiao differentiation will all be covered.

This practical lab course will focus on meridian pass way and point locations. Student will learn to map out twelve meridians and review the meridian system. Students will also practice on each other to locate the commonly used points on a one on one basis.

TCM Materia Medica (2)

TCM Materia Medica (2) is the continue class of Materia Medica (1). . The four natures, five flavors, meridian-tropism, tendencies, functions, indications, compatibility, modern usage, and contraindications of 150 commonly used herbs will be covered in details. Basic knowledge of TCM foundation and diagnostic skills will be applied to guide the clinical application of the herbs. The charicteristics of each herbs will be empasised in this course.

Medical Tai Ji

Tai Ji Quan is an ancient method of exercise for improving and maintaining health through a series of movements that move body energy and also harmonize the spirit. Students will learn a form of Tai Ji Quan with 108 movements. Study of this course will help students gain a skill to maintain health and wellness for themselves and the impact from the practice of Tai Ji Quan will also directly or indirectly give a positive impact to their future patients.

In TCM clinic practice, accurate differentiation of syndrome is the key for success, Clinical Strategie is a seris modules that that desinged as a online toruing course which take students steps by steps to learn accurate clinical diagnosis through large volumes of cases studies. In Clinical Stragegies (1), Students will learn analysising symptoms using patterns learned in syndrome differentiation. Variaties of cases related to exterior pathogen invasion, Qi, blood and body fluid disorders will be discussed in this module.

This is a continue course of Chinese medical terminology, students will continue to learn basic dianogues, reading and writing as grade 1 level in Chinese language as well learn Chinese medical terms such as names of Chinese herbs, Formulas and Acupoints to help students understand TCM.
Clinical Observation

Students will start to how to collect clinic information from patients using four diagnositic methods, student will start learn tongue and pulse diagnosis, go through intake form with patients, and ask patient the related questions to obtain clinic information for assisting diagnosis.
